When overtaken by stressful thoughts: STOP… Stop what you are doing, try to gently practice the pause (if possible). Take a deep breath. Observe your thoughts and emotions without judgment). Process your thoughts and emotions, at least try to get your thoughts out of your head and onto paper, journal about them, inquire about them, what are they trying to tell you? what do you need in that moment, know that it’s all okay to feel like that, we all do. (if you have no time for doing that, gently write down your stressful story, get it out of your head, and know that you will process it at a later time. At least you caught it on paper and you will gently process it and give it love and attention later. Then go about your day. Nothing is more important than that pause.
